Locks of Love benefitPinkie Rideau and the Blind Resistance, Crystal Image, DJ Nightfly, Spun Crush and FreeZeout will perform at a benefit show at Hoot 'N Annie's Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The show benefits Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. 2. Country Western DanceThe Mother Lode Newcomers Club is sponsoring a Country Western Dance that will be open to all interested in a country dance on Saturday. The dance will take place at the Italian Picnic Grounds. No-host cocktails are from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a family-style dinner at 6:30. There will be live music by Feather River Band and line-dance lessons for the novice. Cost will be $25. There will be prizes for best Western-dressed cowboy and cowgirl. 3. 49er Treasure TrailThe 49er Treasure Trail is a two-day treasure hunt that will lead participants through Amador County on a clue-solving spree through historic downtowns, a castle, gold mine, vineyard, water-powered foundry and pioneer grocery store. The event takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is great for all ages. Registration is $10 per person. 4. Speakeazy Jazz OrchestraCome dance or listen to the Speakeazy Jazz Orchestra Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Elks Lodge, 12500 Kennedy Flat Road in Martell. Enjoy the authentic sounds of this orchestra, featuring many tunes from the 1920s and 30s era, as well as performing other dance styles, such as rumbas, tangos, cha-chas, waltzes, etc. Cost is $8 at the door.
